better than I expected

I watched this movie because I'm a sucker for parallel universe plots (even if they use the wrong nomenclature and call it a "dimension")

I thought it might be really cheesy but it ended up being a pretty fun ride.

It is somewhat of a mindless popcorn flick to watch on a lazy night in, but for being a B movie it certainly had a lot of great acting and action and some really nice scenes. Just when you think it's going to be a "made for TV" kind of movie it pops in with some nice big-budget sets and the CGI is not bad for the 90's era.

The plot was a bit silly and the antagonist was a bit over-the-top but not any more so than most action movies.

A few captivating scenes brought this one up a few levels to where I'd be willing to watch it again, and I can't say that for many movies these days.
