What if she wasnt a woman?

What if the captain was not a woman, would the mutiny attempt still happen?

reply

I don't think so. There was definitely sexism there. Monfriez, no matter how much he may have disagreed with the commanding officer's decision, would not have challenged the decision if the commander had been a man.

No, because they would've had some smarter in charge, so they wouldn't have been in that situation. I'm sure if there was an oven in those hills, she would have done a great job baking them some cookies, though.

reply

Possibly, but sexism was clearly a factor. Don't think he would've questioned a male leader...or called him *beep*

reply

Hard to say. Male officers can be idiots, too.

When we're thinking about our own brain, would that be a mental paradox??

reply

It wouldn't have mattered if she was a man. Monfriez Just didn't respect rank, man or woman, see how he talks back and threatens Denzel's character numerous times and he's a Colonel. He just didn't care about rank. He shouldn't have been in the military in the first place if he doesn't know or care to respect rank.
