He is referring to the actor Errol Flynn. (You're meant to know who he is...check him out on imdb if you don't.)
It's typical Aussie humour to call a person by the name of a person he is aspiring to be. It's like referring to someone as "Rambo". Errol would have been one of Roy's idols.
