They have only 4, yet UFC 52 just occured, and that's not even including things like Ultimate Brazil. There should be around 60 UFC events on here. Anyone know why they aren't? Not popular enough?
I am the reason that UFC 47, Ultimate Knockouts and now UFC 43 is on IMDb. Want to do 1 event at a time, wait till they gets added then do another. If I do more than 1 at a time, I am afraid the names will get messed up and you'll have more than 1 new name for each of the fighters not on IMDb already.
As far as why the stuff is on IMDb, it is because IMDb is for all movies/events/whatever that are released in theaters, video or TV. All of the WWE PPVs are on here, so why not UFC?
Exactly. Good work with those events, I submitted Ultimate Brazil, but it hasn't been put up yet (don't know if it will be, as it was over a month ago that I did). I was kind of waiting for that to go up before I tried any more, but it seems to be working for you.
Ultimate Brazil has been added to the DB. I corrected the name though. You had it listed as Ultimate Fighting Championship Ultimate Brazil. I had them just change it to UFC: Ultimate Brazil. Since people would more likely see it that way.
Cool, glad to see it's up. I didn't spend all that much time adding people and such because I didn't know if it would be added to the DB or not, feel free to add everyone who isn't on there.
Also, for future refrence, PPV's should be submitted as (TV), not (V), since they premiered on TV first. (I personally think they should add a new category for PPV, but until then, TV is the best option).
I submitted corrections for UFC 43 and 47, I didn't do UFC 6 or 7 as I wasn't absolutely 100% certain they were on PPV first, although I am pretty sure they were. I also submitted UFC 52 today, and plan on adding more...hopefully we can get the entire collection on here eventually.
I have been adding the sherdog page as well when I discovered it was added to Ultimate Brazil. Also, I just realized I messed up and submitted UFC 52 as a video....sigh, will have to submit a fix for that once they add it.
Also, for stuff like ultimate brazil, I submitted an alternate title of "UFC 17.5: Ultimate Brazil" as that is how they list it on the official UFC website, and will be easier for fans to determine when those special event occured.
I'd say so. Right now they have the ultimate fighter finale as an episode of the series, but it should really be classified as a TV movie i think...I know with Star Trek they classify the pilot episodes as TV movies because they are longer, I think the same could be said for the ultimate fighter finale, as then we would be able to rate it as an event. For each UFN they have, I hope they have new names, such as UFN 2 or something, or else submitting them to IMDB could get a bit trickier.
Apparently there is a new series on Spike TV called UFC unleashed, at least at the end they were like "see you next time on UFC unleashed" so I am assuming it is a series. I doubt they are going to have it that often though, I can't see it being a weekly show but maybe.
I have made a lot of progress. All the way down to UFC 18 have been added and just waiting for 14-17 & 55 to get added now before I add some more. When I get all the events added then I'll finally add Ultimate Knockouts 1&2 and maybe UFC Hits 1&2.
Did UFC 6 and 7 appear on PPV first or did they go directly to video? If they were PPV first someone should submit a change to make them both (TV). I would, but I am not sure if they had a PPV deal back then and these events could have gone straight to video for all I know.
UFC was on PPV all the way from the beginning until somewhere around 22 or so, give or take. I have submitted all remaining events and just waiting for them all to be submitted. So hopefully in a week or so all past events will be on the database. Then we'll just have to worry about adding new shows only.
In case you didn't know Ultimate Fight Night 3 will be on January 16th. Rumored fights for the show are Stephan Bonnar vs. James Irvin, Tim Sylvia vs. Assuerio Silva & Chris Leben vs. TBA. That is all so far.
Well, looks like all the UFC's are in the database now, as well as Unleashed. Still could add a couple things like ultimate knockouts 1 and 2, and ultimate submissions. Other than those last 3 I think everything is covered, that is up until UFC 56 comes out, which is in just a week or so.
Now I just have to work on getting all the correct fighters listed for each of the events.
And I have submitted Mike Goldberg as being the host of Unleashed. Plus I also got all the guys who appeared on Beyond the Glory to get a guest starring nod for that show.
I already submitted Mike Goldberg as host when I did my original submission, but for some reason they didn't accept that...maybe you will have more luck.
Yeah they don't put the cast list on the PPV/TV show right away. It seems you have to resubmit the names after the title has been added to the database.
