Intentional irony of homosexuals?

Did anyone happen to notice that just about everyone involved in the abortion debate in this film was highly unlikely to ever become pregnant or get anyone pregnant? We have Swoosie Kurtz and Kelly Preston, all their gay and lesbian friends, and their post-menopausal leader on the one side. On the other, we have a married couple who are past childbearing age and Burt Reynolds, who is clearly a closeted homosexual (and possibly a pedophile, too). And yet, these people, all of whom will most likely never find themselves involved in a crisis pregnancy themselves, have made the abortion issue their life's work.

That's part of the satire. The film makes fun of all the people on both sides (and those on the fringes, too) who went way over the top.

The point that alomba1328 is making is that lesbians wouldn't have an unplanned pregnancy where abortion would be a sudden concern. Actually, there are steps that have to be taken for lebsians to get pregnant.

Is it because both sides of the 'Pro-life' argument is about forcing someones will upon others?

(abortions are such a sad subject ... everyone gets hurt)
