Favorite COTC!

This one is actually kind of frightening, plus Naomi Watts is great in it. Anyone agree?

Definitely! This would have to be my favorite of the sequels! Nothing can top the original, though, as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I agree. The original stands alone. This one is totally number one of the sequels, though.

but it made that kid look like he was their leader and all

but it was a scary movie, well done

but part 3 was better in some ways

I agree part three was better then number 4. I like number 4, I like all of them. Yes this was a scary movie.

I would agree that this is the best of the sequels (the ones I have seen at least).

Out of the first four films (the only ones I have seen), I would place them in this order:

Children of the Corn - easily the best of the series & a great film in general

C.o.t.C. IV - great story & good acting

C.o.t.C. III - pretty good film

C.o.t.C. II - this could've been a better movie, but the acting was horrible

Now that I've seen all the sequels, I still think Part IV: The Gathering is the best of all the sequels, followed closely by Part VII.

I'd rate them in this order (from best to worst, imo):

CotC (1984)
CotC IV: The Gathering (1996)
CotC VII: Revelation (2001)
CotC V: Fields of Terror (1998)
CotC II: The Final Sacrifice (1993)
CotC III: Urban Harvest (1995)
CotC VIII: Genesis (2011)
CotC (2009) remake
CotC VI: Isaac's Return (1999)

I personally think Part III was a lot better, but this still isn't a bad film.

I actually think 5 is the best one after the original, but this one is really good as well.

If I had to rank the series, it would be like this:

1. Original
2. Fields of Terror
3. Final Sacrifice
4. Urban Harvest
5. The Gathering
6. Isaac's Returns
7. Revelations
8. Genesis
9. Remake
