'They were your age then. They'd be your age now.'


This doesn't fit the chronology at all. The boys who died were at least around 6 or 7. Adam found his father dead when he was 10. His father killed himself after Sam was convicted, which was 12 years after the deaths of the boys. This makes Adam a good 8 years younger (at least) than the boys were.

If he was as old as she suggests, he'd have known his grandfather.
