one of Morgan Freeman's lines
Help me out here if you can. In 1995's "Seven," Morgan Freeman says the following line: "People don't want a hero. They want to eat cheeseburgers, play the lotto, and watch television." In 2003's "Dreamcatcher" he says, "Those poor schmucks. They drive Chevrolets, shop at Wal-Mart, and never miss an episode of 'Friends.' These are Americans." And in "Chain Reaction" he makes another general statement about "people" or "Americans."
Back in early '04 I saw "Chain Reaction" right after seeing "Dreamcatcher," and I was surprised at the similarity of the lines, almost as if Freeman inserts a variation on that line into the script whenever he wants to. Later that year I watched "Seven" again and really started to wonder what was going on. In "Chain Reaction" I believe Freeman's character says his "These are Americans, they ___, ___, and ___" to Keanu Reeves's character near the end of the film. If you own the movie, I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.
