Canadian Solar Car Sets Ice Road Record

Strangely enough--I originally posted this link on The Day the Earth Stood Still Board on a thread asking why aliens couldn't give us clean tech.

I replied we have clean tech and posted this link as an example.

Then I watched Chain Reaction for the first time.

So here's some clean tech--its a solar car developed ten years ago. It can accelerate from 0 to 85 km in 6 sec. It can travel 483 km in daytime and
200 km at night.

We have to start demanding alternative fuel sources right now. It cost me 30 bucks the other day to put less than a half a tank of gas in my car. Its like a buck a litre here. I'm going to have to drive my bicycle this summer or go bankrupt.

How expensive does gas have to get before we all revolt and threaten our governments to develop alternatives? We have to make it a priority and threaten to vote for the other team if they don't start implementing alternatives to gas and oil. They could phase them in alot quicker.
