What, after that case they move on to chasing 2 more fugitives. Just sitting on their fat lazy asses doing nothing. I understand using one of them but both of them together and they are still partners. What are they trying to accomplish here?
Um... no they're not tailing Morgan Freeman, they were the ones after Keanu.
The FBI Agents (Fred Ward and Kevin Dunn) followed Morgan Freeman.
But you're right about the detectives, and not only were they cops in "The Fugitive", they were also in "Code of Silence".
And don't forget Neil Flynn (Scrubs' janitor), the cop on the roof who gets shot. He tried to stop Kimble on a train in The Fugitive, and had about as much luck in this movie.

I love it when they do things like that. Didn't notice it myself as its been awhile since I watched those movies. Like the idea that a bit actor can reprise the same role in different stories. I think it lends a little St. Elsewhere to it.
