Brian Cox

I think Brian Cox is one of the most talented actors around--and especially with his use of accents. I watched him in several movies before I had a clue he was Scottish. I saw him in The Flying Scotsman recently (great true story) where I assume he was using his normal accent--and I hardly understood a word he said! :) He is extremely under-noticed--kind of like Stanley Tucci--they're in half the movies we see but because they're usually not the leading man they slip under the radar.

And one thing that bugs me--I probably need to get over it, but why in the world do they put female actors through the wringer and the next shot of them, maybe their hair is wet or a little mussed, but their lipstick is perfect??? Rachel Weisz left her apt with nothing but her coat, has gotten flung across a frozen lake with Keanu at the wheel, run for who knows how far, soaked in melted snow water, taken a hot bath to fend off hypothermia--and the next shot her very noticeable lipstick is perfect. That drives me nuts in movies! Maybe she had an extra tube of lipstick in the pocket of her coat...(I know, get a grip--but I feel better venting it out.)
