I saw this many years ago on TV and loved it. I don't recall much happening story wise in retrospect, but it was captivating to watch. My friend named her cat Gris Gris after seeing it lol

I agree!! I bought this movie on VHS at a pawn shop
for 50 cents. I totally love it!! What a great find.

Yeah, I thought this was a much better "feel good" French film than Amélie, which everyone always raves about. Chacun cherche son chat was a wonderful film about community and helping your neighbor and felt a lot more genuine to me than Amélie.
