Kino DVD in wrong ratio

The Kino R1 DVD isin 1.85:1 but (although shot in fullframe Super35) the actual intended projection ratio was 2.35:1. The French R2 DVD is in the right ratio and has English subtitles on the feature, but not for the audio commentary or plentiful extras (it's a 2-disc set).
