I dont understand the Locket, please exlpain
Are we just not sopposed to know how the girl died? And why was there a picture of him in the locket? What was the dads signifigance did he kill her? Please explain somebody
shareIt's been a while, but if I remember correctly the father killed the girl and the boyfriend (and possibly himself) when he caught them together. The situation was just replaying itself over and over again in a sort of time warp.
If I'm wrong someone please confirm what was really going on.
The father chopped her head off, killed her boy friend, dumped them in the well, and then killed himself.

lol i'm so stupid. NOW i understand it, scott was a ghost, too... rofl... i was just sitting there, watching, didn't wonder about the neclace where BOTH a picture of her and him were in... hihi stupid me.

The way I interpreted the story was, Scott was the reincarnation of Heather's dead boyfriend (this is why he wandered on his bike, as explained in the voiceover -- he felt like something was out there for him, but he just didn't know what so he roamed aimlessly cross country).
What was missing was Heather. He eventually stumbled back upon the farmhouse -- though with no memory of what had happened previously.
Heather's reaction was kind of ambiguous. She let him inside very quickly, and didn't seem concerned he could be even the slightest bit dangerous. This leads me to believe that she probably recognized him -- or at least that he resembled her dead boyfriend. It's also why she kissed the guy so soon after they met, right after he told her that he felt strange, like he knew her and that house. That was probably her cue that he was a reincarnation.
Heather was trapped in the house replaying the night of the murder again and again. That's why you could hear her AND her boyfriend screaming when her father killed them.
Scott would have had his second chance with Heather if he hadn't removed her necklace. She was a ghost. However, like the original ghost story that the segment was based on, the necklace kept her head attached to her body. It's just that in the old story, her head was severed by the guillotine, not her father's axe.
