A neutral country Taking POWS????

Why did neutral Ireland take allied and axis personel, prisoners of war and put them in a camp together. I would of thought she would of let them go back to their own coutries like switzerland did if she was not involved with the war?

It was an agreement with the British Goverment that any allies or Nazis that landed in Ireland were to be interred in these camps till after the war then they were handed over to the British Goverment.

i hope interred only the dead ones - and interned the rest ;)
