Who the hell is marton csokas in this movie?!?!?

i've read the comments and reviews, and i have yet to see the movie, it looks interesting, but i would like to know one thing, what kind of role and character does marton csokas do in this movie? all i know is that his name is Darko, none of the reviews or comments mention anything about who he is and his importance to the movie though.

he plays the lead female's (i forget her name) brother. is kind of psycho, but just controlled by the father.

He was rather nasty. It seems like he couldn't think for himself.

Having said that I do like Marton Csokas. It took me a while to place him after watching Lord of the Rings. After a bit of brain strain I remembered he was in Broken English. I felt stupid.
