I love some of the lines...

There's a lot to like in this film. I love some of the lines like

"Please don't shoot the nuclear weapon" and the way it's delivered..

Agreed. Just finished rewatching it, and it's awesome. Loved the stunts, the (real) explosions, and the impeccable choreography (which you can actually enjoy thanks to proper camera work). The epic music completes the package. I miss those unassuming, straight-faced action movies. Now it seems all we have is self aware parody, and fourth wall breaking pastiche. "Remember how cheesy and over-the-top the 80s and 90s were? *wink-wink, nudge-nudge* "Here let's crank the silliness to 200% in an effort to appear clever".

Anyway here are some good lines:

"Looks like we got ourselves a stand off"
*shoots bad guy in the knee*
"No... We... don't..." *while punching his face on the dashboard*

*Female park ranger shows she can kick ass too*
Hale: "Ok, you can come"

*Female park ranger kicks more ass than the hero*
"It's ok... You can come"

*Typical villain wants to resolve conflict through a fist fight cliché*
Hale: "You're out of your mind"
Deak: "Yeah, ain't it cool?"
Hale: "I'm serious Deak, your mind has taken a walk off the map."

*Deak kills helicopter with the EMP from a nuclear blast*
Impressed goon: "-Deak you the man!"
Deak realizing he's the man: "-I'm the man"

And the funniest:

Hale: "So, how much you ask for?"
Deak: "Lots, I got a broker in Stockholm that's gonna buy me 5% of Volvo. And for the rest of my years I'm gonna live off the dividends, happy in the knowledge that I'm helping to make the safest automobiles in the world."

Totally agree. There's a lot to like in this film so can't understand some of the hate it gets.

One of the best paced action flicks ever. The way it just gracefully moves between action scenes is awesome.

It's got very high replay value. Very fun movie to watch.

And the score is perfect.

Definitely one of the best action films of all time. I think it's better than Face Off. John Travolta makes an awesome villain.

Hell of a great point. This plus the epic score and coolness/cheesiness of Travolta and Slater make this one of the most entertaining movies ever. Oh, and the fight scene at the end.

Great lines, terrific action sequences, interesting characters and character dynamics, a couple of unpredictable twists (if you've never seen the movie before), a really engaging female support character and some welcome John Woo trademarks. Broken Arrow has the lot IMO. A great action movie!🐭
