Yes Caesar was awful but...
I wanted him to stop those two from betraying and destroying him. It just seemed so unjustified and I couldn't help but sympathise a lot more with him than with Violet and Corky. I don't like that we're expected to cheer for these two women who betray, murder and rob this guy with no repercussions or consequences. Yes he's a bad guy, but these are bad girls who get away with the same kind of crimes he had been committing and was betrayed and killed for. They're women so they deserve to get away with murder and money they had no claim to? They get the happy ending after that? Why couldn't one have betrayed the other at the end?
