The art of film or money?
is this film ever going to be on video or DVD uncut and subtitled. i known it is only a mindess action film but that dubbing really gets to me.

The dubbing on this movie is indeed desastrous!!! But the film itself isn't that good either. Jet Li is always nice to see, but that's about it.
shareI got this for dirt cheap (retails from around $5-7 here in Australia) and while the fight scenes were excellent, the dubbing was indeed poor (although very funny at times.) I might try to get the uncut and subtitled version from those sites listed.
shareI on the contrary love the dubbing. i think im the only one that does. Its very funny. it has to do with 2 things. the funny to me is very comical and thus makes more enjoyable and like laugh fun to watch film rather than what it was really intended to be. I just find a lot more fun in it then it be all one dementional. Also you can easily tell regardless if you get it what theyre trying to do or say. Now for the second reason is because im used to watching spanish channels with the worst dubbing known to man. This is actually a major upgrade and at least the film itself is a quality compared to the latino F films.

Spanish dub? Spain dialect or latin american dialect? I remember this movie aired lots of times in Mexico's Azteca 7 channel, however, both dubs didn't sound that bad at all (forme, at least), and the Spanish dialect dub has the original cut, as well as soundtrack (No hip-hop in this one). Not to mention that the Spain dub has this "feel" that makes it more enjoyable to watch. Well maybe its because I'm more used to watch movies' Spanish dubs.
P.S. I Haven't seen any "latino F films" any example of one?
I agree. I hate dubbing. It's so much better to watch a film subtitled, but apparently they don't want to release it like that.
It's a shame, too. Oh, well. Atleast it's still a great movie. One of my personal favorite lines was "If you get hungry.... order in."
Jet Li is the man. I can't wait until "Unleashed" comes out. Ugh, I hate that name.

Oh god damn here we go again. I never understood what was so good about subtitles and why people scream rape when a speck of film grain is removed from the original -- reminds me of the senile pro-oldschool film retards who complain that colorizing films is destroying their originality. In the beginning, I always thought I was missing something, either there's multiple dubs and I'm watching the wrong (sh!tty) one or the fact that I'm not a native of the country the film was produced in so I'm missing out on all the cultural cues every non-cracker laughs their ass off at.
But no, I seriously think that I'm just surrounded by fanboys with sh!t for brains. The characters had more personality in the English dub. Brock sounds the same as everybody else in the original (I did watch the original, smartass) and if I didn't watch the English dub first then my delusions that all Asians look the same because they're incestual freaks might've been reinforced. The English voice for Brock gives him that hard-ass personality that I otherwise would fail to comprehend.
Unless you're Chinese and naturally love to hear your native dialect on your movies, I don't see what's so good about the original.
