Jack Black has a mini not-quite-cameo

I will admit to having gone to the theater to see this movie when I was in sixth grade and at the time I thought it was freakin hilarious. It was on Showtime the other day and for whatever reason (probably nostalgia) I decided to watch it.

There's a scene where Bud and Doyle go to like, an eco celebration or something and they come onto a college campus where a guy is singing and his buddy is playing guitar. This is none other than Tenacious D, Jack Black's "band"! He's on the screen for maybe 20 seconds tops.

Other ramblings: I sometimes notice that assorted crappy tv shows use the exterior of the Bio Dome as some kind of location such as a high tech police station. There was some crappy show that used to be on TBS at like 3 PM with a couple of cops that would always walk up to the "precinct" a.k.a. Bio Dome. Weird.
