Primo is not an Italian

@pop-actor. When this was made in 1996 who would you have cast in the part of Primo? If they wanted a recognizable face, who might that have been? Roberto Benigni? (a great actor but not that well known to mainstream American audiences), Robert DeNiro? (role would not have fit him I don't think). John Turturro? (he may have worked in the role). Marlon Brando? Oh wait.... :)
