similar 'giant beetle-suit' themed kids show?

I can't recall if it was on Fox or not. It was on a broadcast channel.
I can't remember the title. I'm pretty sure it was on weekday afternoons.
It was an other kids 'teenage super hero in a bug suit' show. I want to say 'mantis' (not to be confused with the Fox prime time show from 1994 where the hero is in a wheel chair but can walk when he's in the suit), but I'm not sure.

The teenage hero from the show in question was a white boy with curly black hair several inches long.

And the head of the black insect suit he wore was fairly small and very round.

Does any one know the show I'm talking about?

It was probably on around the same time; certainly some time during the '90s.
