Beautiful Thing Reunion on Eastenders..Kinda lol

Just watched Eastenders 24/11 and to my suprise..I saw they actress who plays Leah playing Denise's sister! she was attending Denise's hen night and guess who else was there...Shirley aka SANDRA! and I'm sure when Leah's charecter came in the Vic Shirley gave her a look as much to say I recognise you..probably just me though lol not only that there was a DRAG QUEEN..I was expecting Ste and Jamie to walk in and finish off the reunion lol..I hope the charecter becomes a full time charecter be weird watching Leah and Sandra acting together in future episodes lol.

Anyone else notice this?

Yes but I would imagine that these actors cross each other's paths all the time. What about the actors who play Liz and Patrick - they were in Love Thy Neighbour back in the '70s/'80s or whenever. Eastenders has had so many actors go through there are bound to be reunites.

There's a couple more people involved in the 'Beautiful Thing' reunion on Eastenders. Linda Henry plays Shirley Carter, and Tameka Empson plays Kim Fox, but also, Leah's next-door neighbour in the film (the older woman who does the disastrous karaoke early on in the film) plays Aunt Sal (Peggy Mitchell's sister) and Diane Parish (who plays Denise in EE) played Leah in BT when it was first performed as a play in 1993. So the two Fox sisters in EE both played Leah in BT.

And Sophie Stanton who played Detective Chief Inspector Jill Marsden in EastEnders (2001–2003, 2009-2010) played Sandra's friend Louise, and she also played Leah when it was first performed at the Bush Theatre, London, on 28 July 1993.

And in September 1994, the play opened in the West End at the Duke of York's Theatre and Diane Parish as posted above, was in the second play as Leah alongside Rhys Ifans as Tony.
