same old cast same old losers...never got out of high school

I think that was the whole point. They were all insufferable, except Willie & Stinky (and maybe Kev, but he was kind of a non-entity). They were blow-hards who were all talk had unrealistic expectations about any and all women, and pretty much knew nothing about them. I kind of felt sorry for them, to be honest.

And looking at them made Willie realize he may on the verge of falling into the same pit. That was their importance, to help drive Willie towards mature decisions. The title refers to the old boys wanting to hold out for a beautiful girl. The monolog that Gina (O'Donnell) gave in the store with the two guys following her is pretty much the heart of the story.

What about Mo? He was OK. Good husband, sensible, loved his wife and kids. Paul and Tommy were the only ones I really wanted to smack.

The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.

Mo was pretty alright, but I hated when he yelled at his wife after Matt Dillon's character got beat up. Of course, he did apologize later.

Everyone loses their cool every now and then... he was emotional at the moment. It was clear that he really loved his wife and kids and did his best for them, so I can't hold one emotional outburst against him.

As much as I liked Paul’s character, in the end he was the real loser.
