Goodbye IMDB message board for Beautiful Girls. IMDB is taking down all the message boards. I wanted to say bye to what has always been a classic film in my life. I absolutely adore this film and watch it religiously at least once a year when it snows.

shareI live in New England. The movie looks like it was set in New England, and it seems somehow wrong to watch this movie in the summer, since it takes place in the winter. There are a few movies that I will only watch when the weather is similar to that in the film; the movie Hoosiers takes place in the fall, and it somehow feels right to watch it in the fall.
Beautiful Girls - it's snowing, they talk about shoveling, they ice skate, they try to keep warm - somehow it makes sense and feels right to watch it when it's snowed or snowing - and especially appropriate if you have just been outside shoveling!
