Actually i did
Everyone is-was so against Barb Wire i went to see why
And you know what? Today found the DVD and bought it without hesitatition. Agreed acting is crap story is crap but so are 99% of all action flicks.
Dont remember having that much fun with Die Hard or another action flick seeing for the first time.
Rather watch an ex-playmate with tits as primary acting skill then some idiot without any

I saw it about 3 times in theaters. It's a fun little harmless movie.

I wanted to see this movie soooo bad that I drove 70 miles to the nearest cinema showing the film. no cinema around where I lived would even touch this film in 1996. I loved it then, and I love it now, but I love pamela anderson so much that might be blinding me about the quality of the film.

I do know that when it opened, it didn't even crack the top ten, which means quite a few people had to have opted to see another movie again rather than BW. I also remember the review in Entertainment Weekly being surprisingly decent--and even when it was reviewed again for the video release, the reviewer stated that it didn't make sense that mindless action fans, comic book fans, and big boob fans didn't make it a hit.

well I think because Pamela Anderson, was in it is the reason it didn't do so well. on top of that. she was not American and Hollywood was trying. to make her a star and no one cared at all?

reply

I did. It was worth the admission just to see the opening scene of Pam getting hosed down on that swing. I went a saw it with a friend, and we were the only 2 people in the theater. Not an embellishment; we were completely alone. Never had that happen before.

I saw it in theatres opening night with a friend of mine. There were a few other people there, but it was mostly empty.

I have good memories of it.

It was a fun movie to watch, and Pam is totally hot, so I really dont get all the hate for this movie.

I saw it in the theater with three friends. One of them wasn't yet 17, 3 months off, and they wouldn't let him in. We argued with the theater workers that he was the one who drove the rest of us, and he was only 3 months from 17, and that their managers weren't there to yell at them. They finally let him in. Two of the four of us fell asleep halfway through the movie. They were the lucky ones.

I gotta apologize to some bitches. I'm forever changed by what I've seen here.

I did! And I'd do it again!

I didn't.

I don't know why.

I did like Pammie at the time.

Still like Pammie now.

I believe that I hired it on vhs in 1996.

I was in year 8 at the time. It could have been year 9. Or 10.

At the time the nearest theater (cinema) was miles away. Too far to pedal / walk. There wasn't much of a bus service.
