How does this rate as a TV movie?

Didi it debut on cable? I know it probably didn't play theatres, but I only recall it coming out on VHS back in '96 or '97. Now I see IMDB is calling it a TV movie, and the amount of violence, swearing and nudity in it can only make me think it debuted on cable. Anyone know for sure?

You probably don't care after all these years, but yes it was a HBO Saturday Night premier before being released on video.

Know what I mean?
