I love this movie, it's what gives me hope in dark times. When I think that I can't succeed, I watch this movie and relize that like laurel ayers, I can make important social advances.

I enjoy watching this movie. It's really interesting and funny.
shareum... yeah it sucked. BAD. seriously. If I hadn't had 6 redhooks in me to suffer through it I would have puked. Now don't get me wrong, I don't miss the message but I think it is done WAY better in other places. This movie's treatment of discrimination was so unspecific that you could have attributed the plot to ANY minority: race, gender, sexual preference, physical handicaps etc. And it used two of the above. Like "Radio" with a handicapped black guy. It is a gimmie. Any person who says they dont like these movies MUST be a bigot. I hate that about Hollywood. They take no risks in movies anymore. This movie has no GRIT. It is a Disney treatment of a serious issue. I love Whoopie, but put her in there and let her do her thing and it becomes a comedy not a ground-breaking drama. Seriously guys, get over it.

Anyway, I LOVE this movie. Always have. It's a fun flick that will never get old to me. I mean come on, Whoopi Goldberg AND Dianne Wiest as the LEADS?! It can't get much better than that!

I love this movie too! I can watch it over and over, just as I did just now because it was on Encore. I need to go ahead and buy the DVD to add to my collection.
