Despite what people say about Sheen...

I found him very convincing in this. Anyone else agree?

Yes. Good movie and a good performance by Sheen. Charlie doesn't seem to be very versatile, always playing the same sort of guy, but that one character he plays (probably just a slight variant of himself) he plays well.

Yeah, he isn't that versatile, but I always like him in movies. And few people can say lines like "I feel like a can of smashed a**holes" and not sound corny. :-)

Hah ha. Yeah, that's a good line. The PG-13 version could be "I feel like a can of smashed cornholes!"

...he bagged Denise Richards, and we did not

He is versatile, I don't know where this stuff comes from.

Watch 'The Wraith' and 'No Man's Land' to see a COMPLETELY different Charlie.

Also, if you watch 'Two and a Half Men', he's a completely different character than Zany here.

He can even play comedy roles and pull it off perfectly - just watch the Hot Shots! movies for an example.

Have you seen the boys next door or cadence? Two great flicks for any Sheen fan. Also the chase is a really fun flick.

. . .his coke budget for this movie was huge. He didn't blink even once.

I quite liked him in this. With the glasses and beard happening, along with all the science talk, he seemed very relatable as an everyday man. The action wasn't too over the top also.
