7/10: Original sci-fi thriller that X-files fans should enjoy

In short:
Great 90's sci-fi thriller that has a couple of weak moments.
It has tension, good acting, relatively original storyline. There is a downside:
CGI is not top notch but somewhat sparsely used and acceptable (relative to when it was made).

In longer:
It's clearly inspired by They Live 1988, the cinematography is ok - shots strengthen the plot and tension. Sound is the weak spot, then again the lack thereof leaves more to the viewer which often elevates tension and focus.
Scenery and environments are beyond what you could exspect from it.

• Stretching of crucial moments


End notes:
Except being original it falls in some classical Hollywood pitfalls when it gets stretched to the extreme to create tension; Never has a pocket been so hard to open. Never has it been so hard to pass through an opening.

Ignorance is only a bliss if you haven't reached awareness.
