You laugh, but they really broke that kid's knees backwards with a bat. All the effects budget went into buying the bat they used to do it.

Uhm..did you even see the movie..?
Then you would have noticed that the aliens have the same kind of legs as KiKi @ the end..which means... well, you can figure that out.

You and your brothers sound like the poster children for the argument that weed kills brain cells.

The aliens are digitigrade. At multiple times during the movie, they show the aliens with these backward bent legs, both in human disguise and out of it. He wasn't hopping away, he was running. Exactly how stoned were you during the 80+ minutes before that scene?
