Two things I would've changed...

1. Made two different "black hole" ball devices. The one that zapped all of Zane's radio equipment should have been a lot smaller than the one at the radio antenna since the one at Zane's took all the equipment without destroying the house whereas the one at the antenna was clearly stronger bringing down an entire antenna.
2. Made it more convincing that Zane and Char were trapped at the end and HAD to climb up through the antenna. They easily couldve either chopped through the front windshield of that van or at least TRIED to drive the van forward again.

Thoughts? Comments?

1. whose to say the two black hole devices weren't different? perhaps the difference between the two can't be judged by appearance, but instead by weight? maybe a much lighter device removes much less and a much heavier device removes much more. but on the surface they look the same. don't let your human interpretations of judgment deny the possibility that aliens may have other ways of differentiating things.

2. a worthy comment.

Regarding number 1. Even still, the visual difference in size to the viewer would have added some continuity since we the viewer cannot "see" weight.

but, but I've noted that the first was smaller than the second one (about 1/2 or 2/3), or not?

The two black hole balls were clearly not the same size. I've uploaded pictures so you can see for yourself.

The first can be held in one hand, the other is way larger.
