As said, Alice is not obsessed with Lisa, per se, but obsessed with wanting to become Lisa. In the second half of the movie, Alice became Lisa, dressed like Lisa (Max mistook Alice for Lisa), started smoking, started sleeping around, to the point of doing Lisa's job as an actress in the play. Alice thought if she became Lisa, she would be loved by Max. But Alice might have wanted to become Lisa before, since sitting lonelily in her room watching Lisa with men. It reminds me of The Talented Mr Ripley.
