Moments you liked?

I agree with those who say it is a badly executed film. Maybe I could like it a bit more if it weren't connected to the original "All dogs go to heaven" but a movie on its own. Though even then imho it wouldn't reach a quality similar to the early movies done by Don Bluth. Weaker characters, weaker animation and direction, less "magic" and atmosphere.

But anyway, I've got to admit that there were at least two little aspects that I thought were surprisingly pretty cool, that stayed with me after watching. Those were:

1) when dog heaven's gate starts to bend and twist like pained, shortly before it is forced to open up. The animation looked impressing and believable, and it was overall a fresh idea, you didn't see that coming. The gate seemed somehow alive.

2) oh my, 2) is also moment with pain! During the final, when Charlie is struggling with the power of the hellish collar he has to wear. That whole collar concept seemed also rather fresh and individual to me, interesting to see the hero fighting with something like *that* during the showdown. The choking, Charlies hurt and resistance ... extra point for how the light was used. Minus point: it were only rather short moments. Well, it has to be kept family friendly.

I've got to admit it's been a while since I watched the movie, I really hope my memory isn't failing at me and I described the things more or less correct.

Any comments? Own few seconds of the movie you appreciated? ;)

I remember liking Red as the villain, but other than that I remember NOTHING about the film.

Although, I thought Red was the one who dragged Carface down to hell with him, but apparently after reading about it, it was his minions who dragged him down, maybe I'm remembering something completely different then...

Hm, personally I also remember that it was Red - at least Red clearly talked to him while Carface was dragged down (in the dubbed version I watched).
