What a strangely low rating

Agreed it's no Shawshank (Most are not) no Negiotator or Dog Day but it was an acceptable film with a delayed result, did she or didn't she or did she take her own life. Undeserving of such a low rating

I was thinking the same thing about the rating, but anyway i though it was very good. 8/10 from me.

It could be because this film sucks hard?
Come on, horrible and naive script, unrealistic and clichè dialogues. Acting was mediocre although the great names. I love Spacey but he's much much better as an actor.

I enjoyed the movie despite it's flaws. Perhaps if I paid a full ticket price to see this movie I wouldn't have been so charitable. However, I did see it on Hulu and felt I got a good ninety minutes of entertainment .

This a strangely compelling movie, I remember seeing it years ago when I stopped up late one night, (actually I stop up late most nights but this one stuck in my mind more).

In any case, the film itself had an odd tone and intense scene structure that I actually really enjoyed. Of course im not really a film buff and people have claimed it ripped of Petrified Forest, which I have yet to see, but nonetheless I found it thoroughly enjoyable.

should be lower...simply due to all the gaping plot holes strewn about the film

reply

For sure. The plot seemed to be not very well thought out. Every few minutes I was like what the hell?
Maybe i missed something, but i was totally lost from very near the beginning.
In the chase scene near the front of the movie, after they slam on the brakes, a dude bursts through the windshield of the rear car. Was that Gary Sinise? Or was it one of the cops? I thought Gary Sinise was in the front car. I was confused about this and the entire story felt poorly constructed from there on.
I found myself wishing the feds would have blown the door in the first thirty minutes of the movie and put us all out of our misery. One of those strange movies i couldn't stand it and yet i couldn't stop watching.. I'll never get thost two hours back... ACK !!
thanks,

It was a cop, obviously. Matt Dillon and co in the car Infront slammed on breaks making the cop car rear-end them. The person going through the windscreen goes out and over another car. And Gary was in the backseat of the front car without a seatbelt and unaware they were about to stop short.

This film was quite tense and effective. 8 out of 10 from me.
