Allan was Audreys half brother and he grew up in a trailer park right? He speaks with a British accent and Audrey does not. Was Allan just a stuck up pretentious L.A.toolbox speaking like that to sound more important or was it just a oversight? Ive seen this movie 15 to 20 times and its something i always think about.

Well he does say that she is his half sister, so perhaps she is a result of another marriage? I'm sure England has trailer parks too. Or as you say the character is putting on the accent.
