Cruella De Vil's wardrobe fashion...

Ok, I was always inspired by Cruella De Vil and now I wanna be a couture fashion designer. But im going to most likely do fake fur.
But anyways does anyone here know anything about her wardrobe style? If so, is there any history about it? Like is it very classical? What years?
Is there any outfits you remember her wearing from both movies that you know about? Im very, very interested in this. Like the gloves with the nails attached...I found that very, very unique and wicked. Is that classic? Or was it just made up for a fashion diva in this movie? If no one knows anything about the fashion in this video OR 102 Dalmatians, than can you tell me anyone I can go 2 to ask about Cruella? Im very interested in her over exaggerated apparel, and I love em. ALL of them. There all unique, and add to the magic of that character.
And one last thing, what is your opinion on the apparel she wore? Did you like them, or think they were all ugly? Please don't give any comments on fur shame though, cause then that would be stating the obvious and not telling your opinion on the apparel DESIGN and uniqueness.

can anybody help me out here?

First off, why are you inspired by Cruella? She's EVIL. She wants to kill puppies. Anyways, my opinion on her wardrobe? My favorite outfit was the one that she wore at the end, the one with the red fur coat. That looked very... evil.

Lol, personality isn't what reflect my inspiration. It was her artistic integrity AND her wardrobe-style. Thanks to her, I have big dreams ahead of me and NO...it doesnt involve killing animals for fur. Im not inspired in a negative light. The costumes she wore were some of the best iv ever seen in hollywood. Fur never looked so elegant and over the top before.

Just make sure you make them with faux fur. lol

I really liked her first ensemble.. The the black pin-strip suit w/ skirt outfit with the huge black fur wrap that trailed behind her.. and the hat.. the high heels-- all of it was great. I liked the clothes as well.. But especially the first outfit

The costumes were designed by Anthony Powell, who designed the costumes she wore when she played Norma Desmond in "Sunset Boulevard" on Broadway. He also designed the clothes for "Death on the Nile" and "Evil Under the Sun," two Agatha Christie adaptations. I also love his style.

mmm yes, I would have loved to be Glenn and have those amazing things to wear. I loved them all.

yea same the costume she wore at the start and the red fur coat, they were my favourite

I loved her clothes, but if you want my opinion, I think clothes that mirror the style of the 1940's are going to come back soon. They are so classically elegant!

much of cruella's wardrobe (and makeup for that matter) seemed to be VERY much inspired by 1940's and 1950's joan crawford, though im not sure if this was done purposely (since crawford has been painted as an evil insane bitch since her death).

I find her style to be very kitsch. And it's like as if they were designed by Dr. Seuss.

her clothes are similar to thierry mugler's designs in the 90s. his runway shows always had the models dressed playing glamotous powerful women. also john galliano's work for dior. and christian lacroix. she seems to be a pastiche of the over the top 90s fashion crowd.

I was looking for a place on these boards to point out out how small her waist was. Found it titillating. Wonder what kind of corset she wore and even imagined or wondered if it was a little CGI.

You are A SCUMBAG if you are going to use fur.
