Live Action Version Of Cruella's Chase from the 1961 animated film

I like the live action movie for what it is but while watching it with my niece & nephew I felt it could have had more suspense, I think a live action remake of Cruella chasing the Dalmatians on the truck back to London in her Black & White 1974 Panther Deville would have added more suspense to the live action film instead of Cruella being defeated by falling into a vat of molasses by the animals. What I liked about the animated version is that the Dalmatians didn't know if they were going to make it and escape from Cruella, It added a lot more suspense, in the end Cruella's wrecklessness, stupidity & greed to get her fur coat along with Horace & Jasper's stupidity ultimately leads to the demise of her plans to get a fur coat.

I think the point of this film was that the animals did her in- Some were the very ones she herself had skinned and wore.
-She got kicked and sent flying by a horse, Dive bombed by a Crow, Squashed by a huge pig, Eggs dropped on her by Chickens (Though the scene was cut out of the film, you can still see the yolks and shells on her), Dropped Into a vat of Molasses and then Launched and sent flying out a second story glass window and landed in Pig Crap, And then sprayed in the face by a skunk.

Not to mention how expensive it would have been to recreate that car chase- If not impossible if they tried to do it exactly the same as in the original. Also, Realistically, The crash would have most likely killed or at least seriously injured both Cruella and her henchman.

When I first saw the live action one at the movies I was desperately wanting to see the car chase. See, the car chase is not a mere car chase, it is THE ICONIC MOMENT of 101 Dalmatians. Not only that but visually, sonically, and storywise, it is A MASTERPIECE. Animation-wise it is on a league of its own, I don't think the sequence has ever been matched by any Disney movie. It's the probably the greatest climactic scene in a Disney film, and one of the greatest film climaxes in history. So I was desperately wanting to see that in a live action medium and of course I was sorely disappointed. I'm still disappointed and even after all these years, the movie remains inferior and lacking a proper ending. Cruella falling on molasses?? Getting kicked into pig sh*t?? Having a skunk spray her face? It shouldn't be a problem, after all she's an over the top villain but there is also a certain amount of glamour to Cruella, I don't know if that makes sense, I think that is something the creators of the original one understood, she's grotesque yes but also glamorous in a way so they were not going to animate her with a dog biting her ass or something like that, and in fact they didn't. I think the creators of the live one missed that, and honestly it's not funny to see Cruella that way. Madame Medusa falling in molasses? That's funny, but Cruella? You actually feel sorry for her!!

And let's not even go into them repeating the exact same ending for the sequel.

EDIT: I'm not saying that body or what's it called? physical humor? isn't appropriate for Cruella, after all we see that wooden door fall on her in the animated one and of course her bumping her head with the car roof and thinks like that which are funny, but the live action one really overdid it.

This was before Disney really threw money at their live action productions, but I do lament we never saw a live action version of the car chase. Maybe when 'Cruella' comes out they'll do it?
