Episode 3: Who sang 'Mining is a hard kind of labor' ?

The credits note that Alan Beilharz performed the song "The Days of 49" for Episode 3 of "The West". It sounds to me that he is the same performer on "Mining is a hard kind of labor" The band 'Off to California' notes on their website that members of their group (which included Bellharz) were selected to provice the historical songs for Episode 3 "Specks of the Future" for "The West". http://www.pineycreekweasels.net/off/band/band.htm

The song (together with some other of the musical pieces) are in the soundtrack of the series. Here's a link.
I found the CD while visiting Canyonlands National Park. I played for a while and got very emotional. The music is very powerful.
