How many seasons are there?

Hey everyone! I am a Canadian who really loves this show. I used to watch it on tv alot but I don't think it plays anymore, or I don't have the channel anymore. Anyways, I wanted to purchase the seasons on DVD but wasn't sure how many seasons there were. tv.com says there are 6 seasons but I read on here that someone has all 7 seasons. I also read that the first season was sold as seasons 1 and 2. Is that why there are 7 seasons on DVD but only 6 seasons showing on tv.com? I just want to make sure I buy the right discs and don't forget any or get played somehow. Your help is greatly appreciated...thanks!!

Yep that's right - season 1 was brought out on DVD as seasons 1 and 2 for some reason, so that's why there are 7 seasons listed out on DVD, but 6 seasons is the actual amount there was.

Water Rats is still great after all these years! :)

It is! But as someone already mentioned, the price is ridiculous! Even on eBay I'm looking at spending $100 US for each season! That's crazy. Is it cheaper in Australia?

The prices are pretty terrible, especially since they've been out for quite a while now. I have really only seen them from somewhere between AU$40-$50 on Ebay, and it seems DVD stores here in Australia don't really stock it anymore. If they have any, they tend to only have the last season.
