does anybody know what the skit "The epic that never was (Safari)" was based on? its a ruby romaine skit and it is from the Nostalgia (Feb 07 1996). from the offical site :Ruby tells 'Hidden Hollywood' about "The Epic that Never Was..."

I'm not really sure. It wasn't real to my knowledge. They used a lot of stock footage I believe and created a fake movie around it. If you're asking if the fictional movie had a name, I could check. Let me know.

I've seen this sketch. The movie within the show was named "Safari," and they were spoofing such legendarily calamitous shoots as "Mutiny on the Bounty" and "Cleopatra."
