Hated This Show.

Sorry, but I did. Whenever it would come on HBO, I'd sigh and change the channel. Painfully broad, stupid characters, insulting stereotypes. Tracey Ullman is no Peter Sellers. I can't be alone in feeling this way.

Dont worry Sean, you're not. I hated anything Tracy did with a passion, with very few exceptions. I have to admit though , that her original show had one funny sketch. But one out of 50,000 isnt a good ratio. Her characters were so flat and farfetched and didnt make any sense.

She was either a foreigner,or a lesbian, or a foreign lesbian. What a stretch. Must've taken lots of thought to put those characters together. I rejoiced when everything she did had stopped. Thankfully I dont have HBO anymore and dont have to risk accidentally tuning into a rerun.

Not to generalize too much...you guys seem to have extremely limited views of the world and comedy.
"Too broad" or 'too much of one amazing broad'. Maybe you'd prefer a bunch of 'Friends' or Cameron Diaz to waltz through, do their little bit and leave.

If one can't appreciate the vast imagination of one woman, then this is not the show for them.

What was the ONE sketch you liked .. Chic?

I'm going to turn over a new leaf in Spain. I'm going to turn over several new leaves.

This thread is old and you hurt my feelings. Anyhoo...it was a taco stand sketch where the employees kept wiping their noses while they made the food. It was so long ago so I don't remember more details.

Aye, bodily fluids humor.

Don't recall that.
