In the opening scene of the final season, Susan and Vicki were walking to the new building Chinatown and talked about Jack selling the Magazine, but they weren't specific as to why. I think they said something about Him remarrying his ex, and her not wanting him around there anymore. Anyway, the whole thing was sparked by NBC dumping it, prompting CBS to pick it up. Judd Nelson and Andrea Bendewald not wanting to go another season, so they quit (Andrea was on the 1st episode, and abruptly quit, because she didn't agree with the changes Ian (Eric Idle) wanted to make. They also added Rob Estes and Sherri Shephard to try and help things out. But the show was toast already. Otherwise, NBC, known for sitcom success, wouldn't have left it behind when they set the fall schedule. I say we buy Brooke Sheilds some eyebrow tweezers and bring her back to primetime!
LOVE THY NEIGHBOR (even if his name IS Joey Tribbiani)
