I started watching the show 3 years ago (long after it had ended) and though I didn't consider it top rate funny, I continued faithfully watching due to the handsome and gorgeous Romeo. He was HOT! He let off tremendous sex appeal and it was great how he showed off his chest all the time. Especially in one episode when one of his admirers asked him to bounce his pecs and he did so as she watched and giggled. That was fantastic!!! Oh man, was I ever in for a shock when I one day looked up info about him on IMDb, just to see what film projects he was up to, and found out he was long dead! The victim of a homicide. Too bad that happened. He had so much going for him. I think he had the greatest chest ever, next to Mark Wahlberg.

I agree, Romeo was the only reason I would watch this show! I loved his chest, and he was really cute! Then just this year when I finally got internet I looked him up and found out he was dead. It really was sad to loose a great guy like him.

During the 90's I never watched this show, but I recently started to because of Romeo. I also was shocked when I looked on his IMDb page and found out he was killed. It's very sad, he had a lot of talent.

Mine too. When I found out he died I refused to believe it and my mom told me the guy from "The Steve Harvey Show" died. I refused to believe it was Merlin. I was naming every other guy character on the show, Cedric, Steve, and Bullethead, and she said "no, Romeo." I said Merlin Santana!?!!!!?? Then I rushed and got on the internet and couldn't find any info on his death. The next day on the way to school I heard the tail end of it on the radio and then in the next issue of JET the article about his death was featured. I was hurt for two weeks. It still hurts me from time to time and he died when I was 16 back in 2002, but that was one of the saddest celebs deaths ever even though he wasn't that well known. I was a fan of his since "The Cosby Show" as Stanley. He was so fine!!! R.I.P Merlin Santana
