Is the concept of Salem a little creepy?

I mean he's the a grown man in the body of a cat who spends his time constantly hanging around with nubile teenage girls walking around in their underwear (and less!)and sleeping on/in their beds with them. One time he even ends up in the bathtub with a naked Morgan.

Put that way - yes.

or go by reality and remember he was just a puppet but in a few episodes I think I remember episodes when he was just a cat.

I think it's creepy how detailed you are picturing it. Sabrina never wore pajamas that were anything scandelous but you're picturing her being nude or in undergarments. Sounds like you've gotten the pervert problem, not the show.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

It's creepy. She obviously had to change her clothes at some point and he was a grown man.

Luckily we suspend reality for TV shows and shouldn't think about this too deeply.

Have you by chance not mentioned the intro of season 1-3 ?

She would switch clothing with a spell - its instant, and there is no nudity phase in between.

I was just a kid when this show was on but I found it a little creepy. Salem may be in cat form but he is a grown man spending all his time with teenage girls. I think he just genuinely likes Sabrina and there isn't actually anything perverted about him but it is a little creepy.

But...it's not like he was actually fixated on teens. He spent as much if not more time around the aunts, and besides, like even you said, he never perved out on Sabrina or any of her female friends. This is really over the top. Even if the cat is a manifestation of an adult man, doesn't mean he's automatically a sexual threat to teenage girls. I mean what else were they going to do with the Salem character? Have him cautiously steering clear of Sabrina all the time just because of her age?

reply

I dont know anything about that Morgan scene. I dont watch Sabrina beyond season 3 anymore.

Other than that, Salem actually was a hundreds of years old wizard, and he was shown to have the instincts of a cat.

No. Why is it weird to want a man inside the body of a cat?

No. Salem's time with Sabrina was platonic and he spent very little time with anyone outside of the Spellman's and Harvey. By the time he showed an interest in Roxie and Morgan, the show was already into the college phase so they weren't young girls. And I doubt he saw Sabrina undress; she used a spell to change clothes and seemed to wear modest sleeping clothes.

reply

Lol. I guess it is kind of creepy, especially when he once was talking about how much he misses how Sabrina used to "stroke him".
