The DVD is finally here-season 1

Given all the people that are reported to be disappointed that this is NOT a full first season (or full episodes of a first part of eventual releases that would collect the entire show) it just goes to show you there is a desire to see full episodes of these classic talk shows and NOT just best of clips.

I can't say I am a Rosie fan, but I am following the news about this release because there are classic shows I'd love to see on DVD (Late Night With David Letterman, for example).

We've seen game shows such as Price is Right, Match Game and now Password come out with full episodes on DVD and those sell well...so why not classic talk shows?

I understand full season sets would be prohibitive, but these types of shows are ripe for best of collections provided they give full episodes.

Save the clips episodes...they might be fun to watch on TV to pass some time, but nothing I'd want to own.
