What a shame that this show was cancelled

I just watched this show over the weekend (because I like Adrian Pasdar). I can't believe this show was cancelled. It was such a quality show, from writing, to technology, to acting. It had EVERYTHING.

I can't help hoping it would get resurrected somehow, yet I know it would never be the same because I don't see anyone else bringing the magic that Adrian Pasdar brought to the show (I can't believe Adrian did not become a A-list star from this).

<sigh>

I watched the show recently too because I heard it incensed the American public, especially the Bible belt, so much that it got cancelled (this is usually a good indicator that a show is worth watching) and I thought it was solidly above average. I can see why the public of the time wouldn't have liked it, but I reckon that it's more in touch with today's apathetic and slightly misanthropic outlook so maybe another shot at it could work?

As a side note, if you enjoy the scheming and machinations in this show then you should watch Death Note. Yeah, it's anime, but it's all about scheming and machinations (especially the first season) and manages not to embarrass itself with gratuitous childishness unlike most Japanime.

EDIT: The English voice acting isn't atrocious in Death note, so it's worth seeing.

Someone actually watches dubbed anime?

It was not cancelled. It was too far ahead of its time and was pulled after 2 episodes. It would fit right in today.

The conservatives didn't have to complain for the show to get cancelled, they just stopped watching it, killing the ratings.
