He was fantastic in this, an unpredictabel character I thought. I was also surprised to read on here he was in Underworld Evolution, I just remembered his character now!

I agree. Great actor. When I first saw this movie I thought he was one of great all time bad guys. I've just watched it and can see the writing and acting craft more clearly. The conclusion is terrific. Not overwritten, or over played. Mackintosh's character is a foil and the reverse of DCI Jane T.'s. What a series this was, and is. Terrific.
