A nod to the stooges?

I just started watching the first episode of season 2, "Back From the Dead Again," and was amused that Jarod chose the surname Howard, and a fellow professor and his mortician brother are Drs. Fein and Fein... so, the trio make Dr. Howard, Dr. Fein, and Dr. Fein. If anyone knows the original Three Stooges, their names were Moe Howard, Curly Howard, and Larry Fine. In one short titled "Men In Black," the Stooges were medical doctors. Frequently throughout the short, the call "Calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard" is announced from the hospital PA system... I know in the Pretender episode there are two Feins and one Howard, but this couldn't have been a coincidence, right? I hope this was a way for the writers/producers/etc. to give a nod to a Stooges short that was over 60 years old when the Pretender episode aired. I haven't gotten too far into the episode, but if I don't hear a "Calling Dr. Fein, Dr. Howard, Dr. Fein" at some point, I will be disappointed.

I have no enemies, but am intensely disliked by my friends.
