I have the series on crappy VHS, which does not work very well now. Can I buy it from new on DVD? No, it seems to have been deleted. With all the rubbish that can be bought these days, why is it that a groundbreaking, superlative drama such as this is unavailable? Missed out on buying second hand on ebay, it went for £80!

Perhaps they are lining up a release of a special edition. Anyone know anything?

I hope not but it seems not to be stocked in the shops any more.
I always meant to buy it but never got round to it.
It was certainly one of the best dramas ever made in Britain.

I managed to buy it on DvD a few years ago, after waiting for a very long time to find it anywhere.....it's yours for £200 lol

Sad to say for whatever crazy reason, this series is no longer available on DVD and second hand copies are now at crazy prices. Hopefully it will get another release before too long.

...now I do it just to watch their f----n' expression change.

It is to be re-released on DVD on 27 Sep 2010!
